Perfect for families, groups of friends, family reunions, girls/friends night & corporate events who want private instruction in Matagorda. 1 Hour Class designed for your needs, taste of music or enjoy the gentle sounds of the ocean for a flat hourly rate (yoga mat rental available for $5/per mat).

Weekly Private Instruction

Develop a regular Yoga practice with Christy as your guide. Exclusively in Matagorda, Christy can work with you to outline your fitness objectives & create a custom plan to achieve your ideal fitness in mind & body.

We offer several varieties of customized Yoga sessions:

  • Introduction to Yoga for beginners & develop the confidence to practice in group settings

  • Cardio classes to burn calories & increase heart health

  • Core focus to reduce back pain & develop a stronger abdominal muscles

  • Integrated weight training to improve strength

  • Cultivate a therapeutic practice to manage low back pain, fibromyalgia, arthritis, chronic pain & other ongoing health issues

  • Meditation & breathing coaching to reduce stress, improve mood, develop equanimity, increase lung capacity, & improve sleep

  • Balance training to reduce fall risk

  • Learn how to modify your practice or fitness routine while healing from an injury

  • Flexibility focus to gain greater ease of movement in everyday life & improve athletic performance

  • Work on specific poses to increase alignment  & achieve that Instagram worthy picture

Private yoga instruction is available at your home, the beach, or in the fitness room at the Matagorda School. Sessions can be scheduled for 30 minutes, 45 minutes or a full hour session. Discounts available for multiple sessions.

This 15-minute Vinyasa flow class has no planks, is gentile on the wrists, & appropriate for beginners new to yoga. Moon Salutations are great for calming the mind & drawing the awareness inward. Benefits include:

✅ relieving sciatic nerve pain.
Yoga Moon Salutations can be included as part of a longer class or practiced by themselves as a restorative sequence to cool & soothe the body. They are especially nice to do in the evening, at the end of a vigorous yoga practice or during a women’s cycle as the meditative, calming quality of the poses helps to form a stronger connection to the breath.
